Our Story So Far

In the year 2000 Warren and Ellie took on the family dairy goat herd with the vision of expanding the herd and diversification into 'on farm dairy production and processing'.

After more than 15 years of selling our top quality goat's milk wholesale to supermarket cheese makers, we decided to take control of our own destiny.

Seeing a demand for a wider variety of healthy alternatives to cow's milk products on the increase, we set about developing a luxury Ice Cream.

Assured in the knowledge of the high quality of our milk and Warren's passion (appetite) for Ice Cream, we knew that we had the recipe for success.

So in December 2004 Butterfly Lodge Dairy and Farm Shop were proud to present our own farm produced Luxury Dairy Goat Milk Ice Cream.

A Product of Pedigree

Butterfly Lodge is part of Monach Farms established in 1977.

The 'Monach Herd' of award CAE free pedigree dairy goats has been annually recorded and monitored for over 20 years. The herd

is now internationally acclaimed for its quality and high yeilding breeding lines.
